▸ Introduction
Welcome to Pesa Pot Savings and Credit Society (hereafter "Pesa Pot SACCO", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing our website, applying for membership, using our loan products, or interacting with any of our digital platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
Pesa Pot SACCO is a duly registered savings and credit cooperative society regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) of Kenya.
1. Membership
- Membership is open to individuals who meet the eligibility requirements of Pesa Pot SACCO.
- New members are required to submit a duly completed application form, a passport-size photo, and a copy of a valid National ID.
- An entrance fee of Ksh 5,000 and share capital of Ksh 4,000 is payable upon registration.
- Members must maintain a minimum monthly savings contribution of Ksh 1,000 and a welfare contribution of Ksh 200.
- Membership may be terminated for breach of the Sacco's by-laws or at a member's request, subject to the Sacco's exit procedures.
2. Loan Products & Services
Pesa Pot SACCO offers the following loan products, each subject to specific eligibility criteria, interest rates, and repayment terms:
- Pesapap Instant Loan — Fast-access short-term loan for urgent needs.
- Hela Loan — General purpose loan for members in good standing.
- Dola Loan — Asset acquisition and vehicle financing.
- Elimu Loan — Education financing for members and their dependants.
- Development Loan — Long-term financing for business and property development.
All loan applications are subject to credit assessment and approval by the Sacco. Loan terms, interest rates, and repayment schedules will be communicated to the member prior to disbursement.
3. Payment & Transactions
Payments to Pesa Pot SACCO may be made through the following authorized channels:
- WAKANDI APP — Official Sacco mobile banking app.
- USSD *789*103# — Mobile money self-service portal.
- M-Pesa Paybill 400222 — A/C: 18213#M.No (Savings & Loans).
- Welfare Paybill 400200 — A/C: 88711 (Welfare contributions).
Members are responsible for ensuring all transactions are made to the correct account numbers. Pesa Pot SACCO shall not be liable for payments made to incorrect accounts due to member error.
4. Member Obligations
- Members must maintain accurate and up-to-date personal information with the Sacco at all times.
- Members must meet their financial obligations to the Sacco, including timely loan repayments and monthly savings.
- Members must not engage in fraudulent activities or provide false information to the Sacco.
- Members are bound by the Sacco's By-Laws and any policies adopted by the Board of Directors.
5. Limitation of Liability
Pesa Pot SACCO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of its services, including but not limited to service interruptions, digital platform downtime, or third-party payment processing delays. The Sacco's liability shall be limited to the extent permitted by applicable Kenyan law.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, including the Co-operative Societies Act, the Sacco Societies Act, and regulations issued by SASRA. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
7. Amendments
Pesa Pot SACCO reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service from time to time. Members will be notified of material changes via our website, notice boards at our offices, or direct communication. Continued use of our services after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
